At Tennis Australia (TA) we have big ambitions to deliver a great summer of tennis in 2021, despite the challenges of COVID. To help us deliver on our plans for the AO, ATP Cup and Summer of Tennis events, we are looking for a talented Business Development Manager - New Business to take the next step in their career and join our Revenue team.

About the role

Reporting into the Senior Business Development Manager - New Business, in this role you will be responsible for generating revenue for TA by managing the acquisition of new business for premium experience products across AO & ATP Cup. This includes, but is not limited to, seating, dining and premium ‘money can’t buy’ experiences.

In this role you will:

  • Apply a strategic approach to achieving sales targets, with an expectation of extensive in-market activity
  • Execute a professional sales process including prospecting, brief development, developing proposals, pitching proposals, negotiating, up-selling, closing and contracting
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline at all times through best in class account management

About you

What you will bring to the role:

  • Exceptional communication skills and an ability to build trusted relationships
  • Demonstrated results in business development generating revenue from new business clients
  • Proven understanding of the sales process and techniques
  • A robust network of relevant contacts and the ability to maintain and progress a sales pipeline
  • A creative & collaborative approach to sales that focuses on how to leverage TA assets to meet client’s needs
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
