Solution Architect (Infrastructure)

Reporting to the Senior Business Solution Architect, the Solution Architect (Infrastructure) will be responsible for the definition and development of technology and corporate architecture landscape in this exciting green-fields program of work for the Victorian State Government.

The Solution Architect will provide strategic direction (in alignment with the organisation) and advice on the scope, design procurement and implementation of technology stack working with delivery and technology partners to deliver highly reliable and robust infrastructure architecture.

Key accountabilities:
  • Define and design solution architecture (Network & Infrastructure) for on-prem and cloud hybrid IT environments
  • Evaluate and recommend infrastructure products and services
  • Define IT security policies, architecture and governance standards and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal and external technology partners to ensure designs reflect contractual commitments
  • Responsible for IT infrastructure definition, including recommending appropriate governance and controls to assure ongoing the IT development and maintenance, providing regular updates to key stakeholders
Please apply if you:
  • Have SOLID (5+ years) experience in a similar role
  • Can produce quality infrastructure architecture that meets requirements, covering system components, applications, networks, and cloud assets
  • Can thoroughly articulate non-functional requirements that significantly reduce the chances of a 'late breakage' implementation occurring
  • Assess and document all key architecture decisions with rationale and support from respective solution owner
  • Actively address internal and external stakeholder's interests and concerns through effective communication, written and verbal, of the end-to-end infrastructure solution
