EL1 AD Stakeholder Engagement


This Federal Government department is tasked with facilitating job growth and providing high-quality access skills and training through the implementation of policies and programs that foster fair, productive, and safe workplaces. Our client is seeking an EL1 AD Stakeholder Engagement  to join their busy team for a  temporary assignment until July 2024.

This role will be offered for an initial 4 months with a possibility of extension and may be used to fill current and future vacancies within the department.

About the role

The EL1 AD Stakeholder Engagement  will play a critical role in executing a genuine first principles co-design process to develop a national skills classification.

In addition, your key duties are as follows:

  • Develop effective strategic partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders including Jobs and Skills Councils as well as employers, unions, and education peaks.
  • Provide strategic advice and specialist expertise across a broad range of activities including one on one engagement, focus groups, working groups, workshops, and digital engagement.
  • Provide strategic direction and leveraging experience to deliver positive stakeholder engagements, leading and supporting consultations and engagements relating to a potential National Skills Classification.
  • Develop communications and other written products including reports, discussion guides, narratives, presentations, and other engagement aids.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Previous experience in a Stakeholder Engagement and Communications role, ideally within governement
  • Relevant qualifications in Communications, Marketing, or relevant field
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Experience facilitating consultation activities would be considered advantageous to the role
  • Ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment and deliver high quality results
  • Excellent communication skills 


  • Temporary assignment until July 2024
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • $75 - $85 per hour + super
  • Immediate start pending clearances
  • Melbourne CBD location with hybrid potential
