About the role
Based in St Leonards (hybrid model WFH/WIO), the Director of Technology plays a crucial role in guiding OAC's IT endeavours in line with the organisation's mission. Your main objective will be the creation of our strategic technology plan, and provide leadership and stewardship to ensure that digital transformation initiatives deliver on business expectations and are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Accountabilities (not limited to)
  • Define and lead the local technology strategy, ensuring alignment with OAC's business objectives and Bright Horizons global technology strategy
  • Propose technology initiatives and recommendations (including hardware and software solutions) in close collaboration with business stakeholders that foster innovation to enhance our operational efficiency and customer experiences
  • Provide leadership and stewardship to project teams to ensure that technology-driven business initiatives deliver on business expectations and are delivered on time and within budget
  • Partner with key software and other technology vendors to ensure products and platforms are fit for purpose and scalable as the business grows.
  • Establish and oversee strategic objectives, policies, and procedures that guide the IT department's operations.
  • Maintain an agile and responsive IT organisational structure designed to efficiently support the evolving needs of our organisation
  • Effectively managing the annual IT budgets, including support for IT projects/initiatives
  • Implement and rigorously enforce policies and procedures to secure IT systems and data, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and privacy of sensitive information
Experience Required
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership experience in Information Systems and Technology at the executive level
  • Proven expertise in leading complex IT projects and programs, including strategic planning, execution, and delivery
  • Demonstrated visionary leadership with a track record of setting and executing transformative IT strategies that drive business growth and competitive differentiation
  • Tertiary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required
  • Additional advanced certifications, such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or equivalent, are preferred
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge and expertise across Information Systems and Technology solutions, including cutting-edge advancements in infrastructure, cloud computing, networking, and cybersecurity
  • Experience in the childcare or a closely related industry sector, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities (desirable)
