KPMG has appointed Michael Andrew as the firm’s newest Chairman, the first to hold the role from the Asia Pacific region in the company’s history.

 

Mr. Andrew will be succeeding outgoing Tim Flynn after the completion of his term at the beginning of October.

 

Michael Andrew, who will be based in Hong Kong, is currently Chairman of KPMG Asia Pacific and also of KPMG Australia; KPMG International’s Global Board and Council elected him to his new role unanimously.

Previously, Mr. Andrew served six years as Managing Partner of KPMG Australia’s Melbourne office and Deputy Chair of KPMG Australia from 2001-2007. He was Managing Partner of KPMG Australia’s Tax Practice from 1997 to 2001.
