The Federal Government has announced its intentions to focus more strongly on gender diversity in the employment practices of key government bodies, including the NBN Co and Australia Post.


The revised guidelines will strengthen board appointment process along the lines of the Federal Government’s 40 per cent target for women on boards.


The main changes effected through the revised Government Business Enterprises (GBE) guidelines relate to the clarification of GBE mandates, increased emphasis on ethical standards, financial governance and performance monitoring through strengthened reporting.
