The Australian Agricultural Company Ltd (AACo) has announced a reshuffle of its board after two of the company’s founding directors, Nick Burton Taylor and Chris Roberts, announced they would not seek re-election at next year’s Annual General Meeting.

AACo Chairman Donald McGauchie praised the work of Mr Burton Taylor and Mr Roberts, both of whom have served more than ten years since the company listed in 2001.

“I would like to personally thank Nick and Chris for the effort they have put in, and to pay tribute to the skills and experience they brought to the board. In particular, Nick saw a tripling of the AACo share price during his time as Chairman. Both Nick and Chris have decided that the next AGM will be an appropriate time to step down, in order to allow an orderly transition,”  Mr McGauchie said.

AAco announced the appointment of three new non-executive directors as part of the company’s board renewal process. They are:

  • Tom Keene, a former Managing Director of Graincorp.
  • Stuart Black, a Managing Partner of Chapman Eastway
  • David Crombie, an immediate past President of the National Farmers Federation and commissioner of Australia Centre for International Agricultural Research
