Director of Operations and Engagement
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for excellence in education? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic leader to join our senior leadership team as Director of Operations and Engagement.
Commencing in January 2025, you will support the Principal and Deputy Principal in driving the efficient and effective functioning and strategic development of operations and community engagement throughout the school.

PEGS has over 2,900 students from K-12 at campuses in Moonee Ponds, Essendon, and Keilor East. We offer a diamond education, with a co-educational Kindergarten programme, single-sex education at the Junior Schools and Middle Schools from Years 7 to 10 and co-education at the Larkin Centre (Years 11 to 12). We have an Outdoor Education program at Eildon, and a high quality and extensive co-curricular programme.

The Role
As Director of Operations and Engagement you will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills. You will play a pivotal role in innovation and ensuring
the smooth functioning and strategic development of the school's operations and community engagement activities. This position oversees a variety of administrative and operational functions, foster community connections, and aligns initiatives with the school’s strategic plan.
You will develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency and foster a culture of engagement and collaboration within the school, while also building strong relationships with the wider PEGS community.
Leading a committed and professional team, you will mentor and develop others, and promote a positive and inclusive work environment. As part of your role, you will collaborate with the wider leadership team, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation and contributing to planning and implementation of the strategic plan.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a leadership role, teaching qualifications, outstanding organisational, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills to be able to collaborate with the senior leadership team to help shape and lead the implementation of the school’s strategic objectives.
It is expected that the Director will have a small teaching allotment.
