 National I.T Lead

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The National I.T Lead is responsible for planning and overseeing projects within Dnata, from the initial ideation through to completion. You will coordinate people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives. You will also act as a point of liaison between the project team and senior management. A key part of the role is to identify and mitigate risks which may impact successful delivery of projects.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• With support from Singapore’s Head of IT and IT Leads to manage the vendors closely to ensure the requirements are met, the delivery plan is executed as expected and any issues are quickly escalated and / or resolved
• Work closely with the allocated IT vendors to deliver the IT and system requirements as per agreed scope on different interfaces and infrastructures
• Track delivery against the original business case and updating it when required, escalating any deviations as necessary
• Track and manage delivery of the project against the original or agreed scope/ requirements / Project Management Plan, documenting any deviation with associated reasons
• Work with Finance to regularly track actual vs budgeted expenditure and set up benefits trackers and post implementation/investment review exercises
• Managing delivery of the project according to project plan
• Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to Singapore’s Head of IT, IT Leads and key stakeholders
• Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and / or budget
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks
• Managing the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction
• Manage annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
• Establish and maintain relationships with other departments within the local and international businesses
• Investigate and evaluate relevant new technology for the business, procuring and implementing in partnership with business users
• To undertake any other duties as required by Singapore’s Head of IT and IT Leads, commensurate with the grade of the post

INFRASTRUCTURE/NETWORK RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations
• Work with HQ CSOC team on Cybersecurity related issues
• Knowledge of server virtualisation technologies like VMWare Server/ESX
• Understanding of LAN/WAN networking
• Working knowledge of network and security equipment such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection systems, Routers, Switches, Load Balancer, VPN, ACS
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint & related Microsoft products
• Experience in Cloud environment like Azure will be an added advantage.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in managing IT related projects
• Experience in leading delivery of business IT solutions, ideally in the travel & transportation industry is of advantage.
• Analytical skills are necessary in order to correctly identify risks and solve any problems which may arise throughout the project
• Business & commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills are also essential
• A good communicator with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills
• Be a good team player and an effective leader who is able to motivate their project team
• Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
• Mathematical and Budgeting Skills
• Good technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
