ABOUT THIS ROLE

YWCA Australia is currently seeking a passionate General Manager, People and Culture to join our team. Reporting to the Director, Organisation Capability and People, this full time role can be based in either Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.

The role is responsible for shaping and implementing people strategies that will enable and support the organisation to meet its strategic priorities and vision including:

  • undertake and lead key change strategies and initiatives that build culture, develop leadership and workforce capability,
  • deliver efficient People & Culture operations and ensure robust safety and wellbeing practices.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or related field, post graduate qualifications highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience leading a People & Culture function and successfully developing and implementing key change initiatives across an organisation
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practice, employment laws, and regulations
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate People and Culture strategies into actionable plans to drive organisational strategy
  • High level of IT confidence and literacy to lead improvements to people processes through technology solution
  • Strong planning and time management skills with the ability to manage projects to successful outcomes.

This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements.  This includes:

  • Completion of a national criminal history check
  • A valid relevant state-based working with children permit.
