The Opportunity

TasWater is on a journey to become a digital water utility that has flexibility, capability, culture and commitment to seek out and leverage emerging digital technologies to deliver our customer promises faster and more efficiently. We’re bringing technology, innovation and efficiency functions together in a new Digital Transformation Program to take our business to the next level. You’ll be a key member of the digital transformation leadership team, leading a team of digital delivery specialists and project resources to deliver innovative business solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance and supervision and apply TasWater’s people management practices to uphold a positive working environment that reflects our vision, values and behaviours.
  • Identify, develop, implement and review projects and initiatives.
  • Research, prepare and review business cases and briefing notes in support of future projects.
  • Develop, train and run highly effective design, development, testing and deployment strategies aligned to industry best practice.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations against technical requirements to enable user acceptance and effectiveness of applications.

Your Application

Your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the selection criteria in the Position Description, summarised as follows:

  • Degree in relevant discipline such as Information Technology, Software Engineering etc.
  • Experience in a people leadership role, preferably overseeing a large team working across multiple locations.
  • Demonstrated technical ICT and project management skills and experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write clearly and effectively for a range of purposes and audiences.
  • Superior skills in problem solving and decision making in a business context.
