We have multiple Product Manager roles and mid and senior levels to join our cutting-edge strategic program of work called Reinvent Science - finding ways to revolutionise science through digital technologies. This program requires Product Managers with experience bringing novel, powerful ideas to life, with a unique skillset of collaborating with scientists, designers, and engineers to roadmap long-term future digital scenarios as well as to rapidly take successful proofs of concepts through to prototypes and implementations to be tested on real scientific problems

Your duties will include:

  • In collaboration with Reinvent Science Program, Science and Technology leads, drive the development of the strategic product vision, objectives, and roadmap for priority product candidates needed to bring our innovations to life.
  • Clearly communicate product strategy to all stakeholders to align on roadmap.
  • Contribute with Design/ UX to perform customer discovery and synthesis, and facilitate validation exercises so that customer problems/ opportunities can be clearly articulated.
  • Translate customer problems/ opportunities into requirements/ features.
  • Collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams including Software Engineering, Design/ UX and research, to develop priority product candidate outcomes.
  • Contribute with Commercialisation and Business Development leads, to validation of commercialisation plans including business model and go-to-to market strategy.

Location: Sydney, NSW
Salary: AU$121,455 - AU$161,767 plus up to 15.4% superannuation - The salary range spans across both CSOF 6 and 7 depending on experience.

To be considered you will need:

  • A university degree plus five years professional experience in science, technology, business, consulting or innovation.
  • Five years’ experience in product management with a demonstrated track record of taking ideas from concept to market to achieve business outcomes and solve customer problems in a range of complex product areas.
  • Demonstrated passion for solving real world problems with science and technology.
  • A bias towards action / getting things done with high self-motivation and ability to work in a large matrix organisation.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.

Eligibility

Applications for this position are open to Australian/New Zealand Citizens, Australian Permanent Residents or you must either hold, or be able to obtain, a valid working visa for the duration of the specified term. Appointment to this role is subject to provision of a national police check and may be subject to other security/medical/character requirements.
