One of Australia’s leading Federal Government departments is seeking an experienced Program Director to oversee key ICT work programs, focusing on the delivery of innovative technology solutions. This role is based in Canberra, with the successful Program Director offered a 12-month contract with a 12-month extension option.

The successful Program Director will be responsible for:

  • Defining project/program goals, scope, and requirements to align with stakeholder expectations
  • Managing the program schedule, risks, and issues to ensure smooth delivery of initiatives
  • Applying agile principles to improve program outcomes and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Providing clear communication and reporting on program progress to stakeholders
  • Collaborating with multiple business programs to ensure consistent service delivery across the organisation

The successful Program Director will have experience in:

  • At least 4-5 years managing technical ICT system delivery projects or programs, including cloud-based solutions
  • Working within Federal or State Government environments
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage senior stakeholders
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and governance frameworks
