An experienced and dynamic procurement specialist is required to implement procurement and contract systems in Northern Sydney Local Health District and meet procurement savings targets. NSLHD is one of the largest Health Districts in NSW with an addressable procurement spend of over $150M per annum. This will be a great opportunity for a person who is driven to improve systems and show success in procurement.

What you'll be doingThe position will ensure procurement and contract practices have high level controls in place to manage the organisation’s procurement and contract risk, to reduce the likelihood of fraud and to ensure supply of goods and services to essential services areas meet operational demands.
The position will be responsible for applying a whole-of-government approach to procurement planning and contracts management with the implementation of strategies to leverage the District’s total spend and identify opportunities for more cost effective and efficient procurement.
The role will require widespread stakeholder engagement and also ensure compliance with procurement and contract policies and guidelines while seeking to adopt innovative, best practice procurement solutions.
Employees must abide by the NSW Health Code of Conduct. Criminal record checks will be undertaken on successful applicants and applicants for positions designated as Category A will be required to obtain required vaccinations prior to commencing employment.
