About the role
The Manager of Government and Executive Services is a key position in WorkSafe Victoria, reporting to the Director of Government and Executive Services, for a wide range of leadership, significant stakeholder management and complex coordination services. The Manager is responsible for providing high level support to the Minister, Minister's Office, WorkSafe's Executive Leadership team and to various government departments. The role plays a critical role in the delivery of government strategic priorities including the oversight of Parliament activities and the national policy landscape.
This role will support WorkSafe achieve quality professional outcomes for significant and priority projects by understanding the implications of the work and its impact on/contribution to Departmental or Government policy and stakeholder risks. The role identifies and responds to new and emerging issues and their longer term implications for the State and influences state and national debate on workplace health and safety.
As a trusted adviser, to the Director, Executive Leadership Team, business units, the Department and the Ministerial Office, you will have exceptional stakeholder management skills, an ability to take a strategic enterprise wide approach to ensure that allocated projects, policies, reporting and key issues are effectively managed, risks are identified and controlled and your communication is clear, nuanced and thoughtful.
