Senior Manager - Technology Engagement & Planning
- $172,164 per annum + Superannuation
- Full Time, Ongoing Position
- Geelong or Melbourne (Hybrid – which will require attendance in our Geelong based office)
About the role
The Senior Manager, Technology Engagement & Planning will lead a technology planning team within WorkSafe Victoria to ensure alignment of the IT enablement activities to the strategic outcomes of the business. The role will facilitate collaboration across the organisation and service providers in order to enable these outcomes.
The scope of the role includes operating central communities of practice with leadership positions in business technology engagement, point strategy development, enterprise architecture & related governance. It also includes the leadership of commercial planning and operational commercial performance of WSV technology.
The role will provide the opportunity to work on and shape greenfield projects that will have a significant impact within a collaborative environment. Working with autonomy to achieve key objectives you will also lead, coach and develop your team.
Key accountabilities:
- Oversee development of technology business implementation plans, including all activities that the organisation needs to prepare for new technical components and technologies
- Lead the development of comprehensive stakeholder management strategies and plans, building and maintaining long term strategic relationships
- Plan and manage the creation and maintenance of systems capability strategies that meet the strategic requirements of the organisation
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders for commitment to technology roadmaps, ensuring that the strategic application of change is embedded
- Oversee creation of technology roadmaps which align organisational plans with emerging technology solutions
- Lead a high performing team of planning and engagement specialists by developing capability, setting performance targets and monitoring progress

About you
You will be an experienced manager with strong leadership experience in managing and developing your team. With excellent engagement and communication skills, you will also have strong relationship building skills and the ability to develop an effective business engagement model.
Skills and experience:
- Extensive business experience in strategic IT leadership roles, with proven delivery experience in a similar role
- Extensive leadership experience in managing a high performing highly skilled corporate focused team
- Highly developed verbal and written communications skills with ability to influence and negotiate effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with leading transformation projects with breakthrough innovations which have positioned an organisation for future success
- Developing and setting strategies that leverage long-term opportunities and anticipates emerging trends
