• Total remuneration package $263,098 - $287,201

About the role:      

The Assistant Commissioner sets the strategic direction and leads the planning and delivery for FRNSW Metropolitan Operations. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the role is accountable for the day-to-day service delivery of Metropolitan Operations including the delivery of prevention, fire suppression, hazmat, rescue and emergency services to industry and the community. 

About you:

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Operational experience and expertise within an emergency services environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary issues, challenges and approaches to emergency service
• Exceptional leadership capability and presence
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills 
• Demonstrated financial acumen

Essential Requirements:

• Post graduate tertiary qualification and/or significant professional experience in the discipline
• Emergency management qualifications to enable fulfilment of legislative requirements of the role
