We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed person to fill the role of Executive Lead - Technology.

The Role 

Harnessing technology and data analytics are critical to the achievement of Oxfam Australia’s strategic and operational goals in alleviating poverty and achieving climate justice, gender justice, economic justice and First Peoples justice.

This newly created role is instrumental in achieving Oxfam Australia’s aspiration around both technology and data analytics while ensuring that valuable data and infrastructure is secure. The role is also critical in driving change in how we organise ourselves into teams from a culture and ways of working perspective.

The role is responsible for three broad areas:

  1. Ensuring best practice cyber security protections: leadership and responsibility for whole-of-organisation cyber security and data protection.
  2. Building our capability and practice in data analytics.
  3. Servant-leadership of the technology team and the newly created data analytics centre of excellence.

Oxfam Australia’s data analytics capability is spread across various teams within the organisation and this role will be responsible for supporting, coordinating and building a cross-organisational centre of excellence in data analytics characterised by matrix
structures and accountability to key stakeholders across the organisation.

The role will work closely with key stakeholders/customers like the director of fundraising and resource growth, chief financial officer, risk manager and general counsel and their teams in developing and implementing our data strategy and capabilities.

The role is part of Oxfam Australia’s Executive Leadership Group and will need to contribute to a wide variety of important organisation-wide initiatives and decisions.

  • Operational Excellence & Security: Experience in managing complex IT infrastructure and ensuring reliable, secure, and cost-effective technology operations.
  • Communication & Influence: Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and champion technology initiatives across the organization.
  • Adaptability & Results-Oriented: Proven ability to adapt to changing business needs and market dynamics, embracing new technologies and trends.

  • A base salary of $163,636.36 plus superannuation, superior leave benefits and access to generous non-for-profit salary packaging program (up to $18,450 of your salary tax-free).
