About the role - Ongoing, Full time

Senior Executive Officer

Responsible for leading a skilled customer centric workforce, safely and reliably delivering essential services across our region. 

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Lead a skilled, suitably resourced and equipped workforce capable of delivering reactive and preventative maintenance across water and wastewater systems.
  • Lead and implement an engaged safety culture where “we do it because we believe in it”.
  • Develop and embed relevant and effective WHS documentation (such as Procedures, SOP’s, SWMS, JSA’s, Manuals) that support the WHS Management System.
  • Effectively and efficiently lead and manage contractors and, develop and implement service level agreements for items of plant, equipment or services used for operations and maintenance.
  • Prudently manage budgets and resources in delivering required service standards within budget by leading the identification of productivity and process improvements.
  • Deliver minor capital works and contribute expertise to planning and delivery of major capital projects particularly network shutdown and access planning.
  • Undertake Manager (on call) after hours currently a 1 week in 8 roster.

Qualifications and Experience

  • The candidate is preferred to have a tertiary qualification in engineering or other applicable technical qualification.
  • Significant experience in operations and maintenance within the Water Industry.
  • Experience in the management of an operations-based team.
