Our Technology team are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, technically capable Project Manager to establish and deliver a program of work to ensure ActewAGL fulfils its obligations as part of the Critical Infrastructure Sector, as outlined in the Australian Government’s Security Legislation Amendment (Critical Infrastructure) Bill 2020 (Cth).

Within this role, you will proactively collaborate with divisional managers and key stakeholders to plan and manage technical, process, and governance improvements to Protective Security, with a major focus on cyber security, affecting the entire enterprise.

With your experience and understanding of program management, cyber security and its associated risks, you will have the opportunity to have a substantial, positive impact on the organisation through the facilitation of people-centred change management.

Your day:

• Using project management tools, you will collaborate with the business to establish procedures and techniques to ensure regulatory compliance with the provisions of the Security Legislation Amendment (Critical Infrastructure) Bill 2020 (2020)
• You will work on projects aimed at increasing cyber security maturity in line with the AESCSF model (covering IT and OT), implementing comprehensive background checking processes, improving compliance with supply-chain related standards, physical security, and other requirements
• You will develop, maintain, and continually monitor project plans that detail project objectives to ensure the organisation meets its regulatory obligations within the prescribed timeframes outlined in the Bill
• You will establish and maintain positive relationships with internal business areas and external stakeholders to influence change, and ensure the delivery of projects.
• You will facilitate organisational change through developing the organisational understanding of the regulatory obligations, whilst regularly reporting on the project’s process and presenting this to relevant stakeholders.

We’re looking for people who have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or another relevant, business-related discipline
• Previous experience in managing and delivering protective or cyber security projects of varying size and complexity
• Experience in engaging, influencing, collaborating, and relationship-building with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
• Experience in assisting people-orientated organisations adapt to change due to legislative and regulatory requirements
• Experience in establishing and improving business processes and standards in a complex environment
• A strong understanding of the utilities sector and its associated infrastructure
• Knowledge of the current Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 (Cth), the related Sector Specific Rules (Electricity Sector), and the associated amendments, regulatory and compliance aspects are desirable for this role but not essential.
