Capital Project Manager

As a member of the Engineering and Operational Excellence team, you will be accountable for development and safe execution of nominated capital projects and facilitating change management to ensure sustainable benefits. Key objectives for the role include:

  • Deliver capital projects safely, on time, on budget and to specification, meeting business requirements.
  • Engage all stakeholders through the project lifecycle to ensure both robust project scope development and effective communication as the project is implemented.
  • Engage project team to ensure safety is forefront in scope development and risks are eliminated wherever possible in good engineering design. 
  • Provide project and engineering support to the manufacturing sites including; feasibility studies, business case development, project planning, project implementation, contractor management, and commissioning and training.
  • Prepare layout and process drawings for planning, construction & installation of new equipment and manufacturing facilities. Become subject matter expert in plant design, compliance with building council regulations and environmental best practice.
  • Negotiation and management of contracts for the supply of equipment and services.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of capital budgets for the Tip Top business.

About You

  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years relevant commercial experience in a multinational industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills adapting to a broad base of stakeholders
  • Manage, lead and inspire effective project teams dedicated to the delivery of superior results
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a highly disciplined approach to project management
  • Strong networker - build a network with peers and industry colleagues with a view to sharing industry knowledge and opportunities
  • High motivation to work in the FOOD/FMCG industry. Interest in civil project work within a business environment.
