About the opportunity

Reporting to the Director-General, the Director, Strategic Safety is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of the MTIA Health and Safety Policy, Framework and associated system elements.

The Director, Strategic Safety will also work closely with executive leaders in each of MTIA's five program delivery streams to ensure alignment, industry leading health and safety practice, effective incident response, satisfactory health and safety performance, and continuous improvement.

Pre-Employment Checks:

The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which include national police/qualification (where applicable) checks and misconduct screening. Please be advised that it is requirement for all MTIA staff to be compliant with the MTIA COVID-19 Vaccination Policy (the Policy). The Policy stipulates that, unless an employee is an Excepted Person within the meaning of the Policy, in order to attend an MTIA workplace the employee must hold up-to-date vaccination status in accordance with ATAGI guidance, which for most includes their primary vaccination course and booster.
