UQ Human Resources is responsible for enabling achievement of the University’s strategic ambitions through attracting and developing high performing staff, and delivers high quality advice and support to our clients on all aspects of HR and people matters. 

HR is currently undergoing significant transformation (including new systems, specialist services, process review and redesign, and improved data and analytics capability) to become one of the leading HR functions in Australia, and is building a team of exceptional HR professionals to provide customer focused and contemporary solutions and services for our clients.

About This Opportunity

The Associate Director, Organisational and Leadership Development is a senior leader in the UQ Human Resources team, responsible for delivering exceptional organisational development strategy to help shape and strengthen the University's capability, culture and performance.

Utilising your substantial experience in developing and leading innovative organisational and leadership development initiatives, you will support the enhancement of organisational engagement and performance through building collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, you will lead and motivate a client focused team delivering organisational strategic initiatives, consultancy services, staff development programs and coaching support, engaging with academic and professional leaders across the University to ensure alignment and positive impact.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will have proven success in leading an organisational development function in a large, complex organisation and in supporting the leadership of major organisational and cultural change, talent management, learning and performance management. This will be complemented by your strong analytical, project management and strategic planning capabilities.
