The Role
In this role you will be the Analytical Authority providing a critical review and guiding analytical approaches. You will lead the whole-of-Defence LaunchPad initiative, which will demonstrate emerging and disruptive technologies, in part developed by Science Technology and Research (STaR) Shots
 
The role requires you to advance state-of-art force design approaches and methodologies to support on-going improvements to strengthen decision making, including the development of new tool sets for options development analysis, portfolio analysis and optimisation, and modelling and simulation.

You will also shape the development of future Defence concepts and conceptualise how the future force will operate and conduct the design and analysis of joint experiments applying appropriate wargaming techniques within DSTG’s Joint Experimentation and Wargaming Laboratory

You will undertake deep dive analytical studies examining topics longitudinally and in depth, applying detailed modelling and simulation and advice on S&T developments to shape Future force directions and opportunities, through inputs to concepts and experimentation from Technology Foresight, STaRShots and the broader DSTG S&T program.
