Medical Services Manager (NSW/ACT)

We also provide a range of other services to the healthcare sector related to transplantation and immunogenetics, testing, consulting, education and research.

A people leader, you will be responsible for the delivery of business outcomes through the operational management of a team of medical, nursing, and administrative professionals. The Blood Service aims to achieve an optimal level of standardisation and consistency across the whole organisation. The occupant of this role will be responsible for maintaining nationally agreed standards, processes and systems within the local team.

Your challenge is to manage both internal and external interfaces in relation to donor, product and patient safety, whilst building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationship and leading the team to excellence.

You will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in operating in a highly regulated and or quality system environment
  • Understanding and experience in medical and/or pharmaceutical environments
  • Demonstrated competency in efficient and effective delivery of a service including continuous improvement

You will also be:

  • An excellent communicator, demonstrating leadership and contemporary management experience
  • Competent in performance management and facilitating the professional and general development of others
  • Able to anticipate and respond to new initiatives, changing conditions and shifting priorities
