Civil Engineering Advisor

The Republic of the Marshall Islands Ministry of Finance is inviting interested individuals for the following position to support the project preparation and implementation of the World Bank project.

 Civil Engineering Advisor

• Select and oversee a coastal engineering design and supervision firm (D&S Firm) to design, prepare documentation, and supervise construction of coastal protection works in Ebeye and Majuro;
• Select a contractor for the coastal protection works in Ebeye and Majuro;
• Audit the works supervision, and assist in resolving contractual matters, variations, and disputes on behalf of the Ministry of Works, Infrastructure, and Utilities (MWIU) for all coastal protection, and other works, under the project;
• Oversee upgrades to the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) facilities;
• Support the MWIU and other government agencies incorporate coastal risk management in infrastructure and land use planning;
• Provide training, capacity building, and general advice to MWIU in project management and administration; and
• Advise the government of RMI in managing project risks.
