Manager Communications & Marketing


The role is critical in developing and managing communications and marketing strategies for Blue Mountains City Council. The successful candidate will have a passion for communications (internal and external) and the capacity to drive strategic communications across an organisation with a broad range of services. The role manages seven staff and engages with Managers and Directors across Council with development and oversight of all strategic communications.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience related to communications, journalism, marketing, public relations or related field.
  • Extensive media, issues, risk and crisis communications experience.
  • Experience in managing communications strategy development, including the identification and analysis of key stakeholders and target audiences.
  • Experience in providing high level communications advice and support to senior management.
