About The Role

The Group IT Operations Manager, based in our Brisbane Inner Eastern suburbs Support Office, reports to the CIO and is accountable for continued operations of all technology systems which have transitioned to ‘business as usual’.  This senior leadership role is crucial to the business achieving the highest availability across all technologies through astute vendor management, process and knowledge management. Strong connections with internal product owners and senior leaders responsible for using technology is key. Prevention of technology-based incidents which cause major disruption or increased business risk is a fundamental objective of the role.

The scope of the role extends to cyber security strategies, application (e.g. EDI) and device monitoring at L1 and L2, technology DRP, global SD WAN solutions as well as global desktop and mobile device services. Provision of application helpdesk services to Support Centre locations, distribution centres and physical stores is currently across three countries thus mandating 24 x 7 support services. The role is responsible for sizable CAPEX and OPEX budgets.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technology services leadership role managing teams, vendors and budgets
  • An approachable and influential leader who is resilient, connects well with others and displays empathy
  • Provision of support services in enterprise landscape e.g. ERP, retail technology, supply chain
  • Significant experience in project and change management frameworks and methodologies including Agile
  • Proven track record in business process optimisation
  • Experience working with development teams including DEVOPS
  • Previous experience leveraging testing teams in projects
  • Retail POS skills and experience desirable
