The Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) is now seeking to appoint a Chief Finance Officer (CFO) responsible for ongoing organizational performance, strategic advice and leadership in the delivery of finance strategy and financial operations.

The Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) was established to promote, maintain and restore the health of women, children and young people in South Australia. The Service plans, develops and coordinates health services as part of an integrated health system. It is one of the major hospitals in Adealide and is a teaching hospital of the University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia and Flinders University.

The organisation is now seeking to appoint a Chief Finance Officer (CFO) responsible for ongoing organizational performance, strategic advice and leadership in the delivery of finance strategy and financial operations across the WCHN. Candidates have the opportunity to join a hospital and health service with a history of solid performance and innovation in the delivery of corporate services.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer the CFO will be innovative and forward looking and able to provide strategic insight and advice as a business partner to clinical and corporate services.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • Leadership experience at a CFO level or equivalent in a large complex organisation
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in finance or commerce
  • Experience of successful operational management within a large, complex Acute Care organization
  • The ability to lead innovation and business reform to ensure sustainability in health service provision.
