Staff Specialist Anaesthesia - Griffith Base Hospital
At Murrumbidgee Local Health District we provide a range of public health services to the Riverina and Murray regions of New South Wales across a geographic area of approximately 125,631 square kilometres.  With around 241,000 residents living within our District we employ approximately 3,500 staff who work in our 31 facilities and support services.  Our facilities include Base and District Hospitals, Multi-Purpose Services and Community Health Facilities.

Where you'll be working

Griffith Base Hospital is a 117 bed C1 peer grouped  hospital providing a range of acute specialist services (both resident & visiting) including emergency medicine, general medicine,  surgery, paediatric medicine, oncology, obstetrics, intensive care, respiratory medicine, renal dialysis and rheumatology.  Each year there are approximately 19,500 emergency presentations, 2,500 operations and 540 births. Additional services at Griffith Base Hospital include physiotherapy, dietetics, pharmacy, occupational therapy and Aboriginal health. There are also a range of diagnostic services including Pathology, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, General X-Ray and Mammography.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Director Medical Services at Griffith Base Hospital you will join an established team of Anaesthetists to provide high quality anaesthetic services to the patients of Griffith Base Hospital. Working collaboratively with medical team and health professionals within the hospital you will be required to fulfil clinical and clinical support activities.

You will have fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or equivalent and be registered as a specialist in Anaesthesia with the Medical Board of Australia. Displaying a high level of clinical experience within anaesthesia and a high level of flexibility and integrity you will be an integral part of the senior medical team.
