About us

The Children's Court of Victoria (CCV) has jurisdiction under the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 to hear cases involving children and young people up to the age of 18 years, and in some cases up to 19 years. It has a Family Division and a Criminal Division and it sits at locations throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

About the role

The Senior Psychologist provides independent clinical/forensic assessments for judicial officers in criminal and protection matters before the Children's Court and the County Court of Appeal, and provides court­ordered treatment.
