General Manager HSEQ 

The role       

Transdev WA is one of Perth’s largest bus companies and provides public transport services for more than 32 million passengers annually. Reporting to the Managing Director WA, this role will strategically lead the overall safety function for a large, multi-site business with a complex organisational culture.

Key accountabilities:

  • Visible leadership across the business to positively influence behaviours
  • Drive a safety-focused culture to reduce incidents and collisions within our operational workforce
  • Development, maintenance and assurance of QSE management systems and accreditation requirements locally
  • Key member of the WA Leadership Team and advisor for peers within and across the Transdev businesses regionally

The role works in a challenging competitive environment, with tight budgetary constraints and expectations of high performance by our client and passengers. 

What you bring                                                                                 

  • Relevant qualifications in HSEQ
  • Demonstrated HSEQ leadership within complex, regulated businesses
  • Track record of success in driving improved safety and quality performance
  • Strong influencing and negotiating capability
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills and can build relationships at all levels internally and externally
  • Experience developing and implementing HSEQ systems
  • Commercial acumen and an understanding of budgets and planning
