Project Manager/Systems Engineer

Our client specialises in tailored solutions designed to meet the critical surveillance and traffic management demands of high-end customers.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager / Systems Engineer with a dual, but complementary focus. The primary responsibility is to take the role of Project Manager on a number of complex technology delivery projects for our Defence and civilian customers. In addition, this person will be responsible for providing Systems Engineering expertise to our major Defence projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivering projects in accordance with scope, budgetary and quality requirements
  • Develops and executes Systems Engineering Management Plans in support of projects
  • Experience with the Systems Engineering lifecycle requirements of ASDEFCON
  • Providing Systems Engineering knowledge and advice to the wider team
  • Provides assistance with the development and documentation of QMS processes
  • Displays leadership, coordination and motivational skills
  • Clear and effective communication
  • Financial literacy

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or related discipline
  • At least 3 years' experience in a project engineering and delivery environment
  • Demonstrated experience in a project management role, delivering complex technology solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of Systems Engineering principles
  • Knowledge of and experience working within the ASDEFCON framework
  • Australian citizen (able to obtain an NV1 security clearance)
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management systems
  • Experienced in the use of project scheduling tools preferred
  • Experience working within defence or high-tech industry preferred
