The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership and operational direction to key teams within the Work Health & Safety (WHS) teams within the Clinical Governance & Safety directorate. Specifically, the role will provide operational leadership, guidance and support to the Safety, Recover at Work and WHS Audit and Investigations teams.  The role will lead these teams of subject matter experts, guiding them through problem solving and solution design in order to support and achieve safety excellence throughout HealthShare NSW.

The role will provide strategic guidance on WHS and workers compensation matters which will inform HealthShare?s strategic plan

Success in this role will require leadership, influence and skillful collaboration with multiple stakeholders including strong people leadership and management skills that promote a performance based, innovative, responsible and accountable customer and patient focused constructive culture.

2. Provide an example of a time when you actively sort out an opportunity to engage and collaborate with stakeholders to develop organisational change or a solution to a broader organisational issue. Describe the situation, what you did and the outcome. Include whether or not the change/solution was in an area of your own subject matter expertise, or where you had the least amount of experience.

3. How do you coach and mentor your staff? Provide an example outlining how you linked the coaching and mentoring to the staff members professional development and performance outcomes.

4. Please describe your practical/operational knowledge and experience with WHS, workers compensation or related areas and how this will assist you in leading this team. What is something unique you bring to the team that you will lead, or to the directorate which also encompasses clinical governance and patient safety.
