Head of Operations - Parking & Ground Access 

Reporting to the Chief Parking and Ground Access, the Head of Operations will be responsible for the operational management and service delivery of Melbourne Airport's nine-car parking facilities, roadways, and forecourts. 

Key deliverables associated with this role include developing and delivering on a customer service and asset management strategy, demonstrating strategic business planning for the parking and ground transport business, establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, development and implementation of business and strategic plans, strong vendor management and collaboration with internal cost centres, and timely delivery of key projects. 

Responsibilities include: 
* Develop, implement and prioritise business plans and strategies to maximise revenue opportunities, streamline business processes and minimise operating costs 
* Lead the operations and service delivery of the parking and ground transport business 
* Actively pursue innovative solutions to improve business and asset efficiency 
* Provide support in the analysis, monitoring and reporting on the car parking business revenue, capex, fixed and variable costs and market share whilst minimising APAM's exposure to financial and legal risk. 
* Implement technologies designed to streamline parking and ground access activities 
* Manage and administer vendor contracts to ensure compliance of KPI's 
* Develop and refine the capital program in line with the Parking and Ground Transport strategy and business plan and assist with the formulation of annual capital expenditure budget. 
* Ensure that APAM's car parking facilities are planned, developed and maintained to meet appropriate demand and service standards 
* Lead and manage the rollout and implementation of new parking and ground transport products and initiatives 
* Build partnerships with key external stakeholders working collaboratively to maximise operational efficiency 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 
* Tertiary Degree in Business, finance or related discipline 
* Experience in fast-paced car parking environment would be advantageous 
* Strategic and operational awareness of the impact of asset availability, operations and customer service on customer experience 
* Change management

* Financial acumen 
* Process Improvement methodology
