Team Leader - High Performance Computing
As the Team Leader – High Performance Computing (HPC) with CSIRO Information Management and Technology (IMT), you will contribute to strategic and operational plans and ensure IMT services are effectively delivered in line with CSIRO strategy. You will drive the HPC platform direction of CSIRO, managing the people, roadmap, budget, and project planning, and identifying operational initiatives and service improvement. Leading a highly skilled team, you will manage the day-to-day administration of services, guide training, professional development and skills adoption, and act as the point of coordination for escalation of service incidents and problems.
You will work closely with your team leader peers and build strong stakeholder relationships, to ensure services are delivered appropriately to enable the core science and functional business of CSIRO. As a domain expert with extensive experience in the implementation and sustainment of scientific computing platforms, you will draw on your industry applied knowledge to ensure that service implementation is achieved through team planning, configuration, testing and interoperability of the solutions. With considerable autonomy, you will shape the technologies and services to support Australia’s research demands on traditional CPU workloads and the growing areas of accelerator based Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.

Location: Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney or Hobart (Negotiable)
Salary: AU$113k to AU$132k per annum, plus up to 15.4% superannuation (market competitive salary may be negotiated)
Tenure: Indefinite, full-time

To be considered you will hold a degree in information management or equivalent discipline, or have a minimum of approximately 5 years of experience managing a highly technical information technology team.
