As the Research Leader - Agri-food Systems Innovation with CSIRO Agriculture and Food, you will provide intellectual leadership in the emerging science area of Innovation Systems. Leading a suite of R&D projects focussing on Agri-food innovation systems in South-East Asia, South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, you will develop, implement and oversee investigations for research agencies, NGOs and private sector companies involved in agricultural innovation.
Projects will aim to maximise the impact of R&D expenditure in agriculture and food systems and will include, but not be limited to:
- 'Transforming Agrifood Systems' program in the CGIAR Grain Legumes and Dryland Cropping Core Research Program; and
- 'Accelerating Research and Innovation System in Agriculture' project funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
To be considered for this senior CSIRO position, you will be well regarded in your field and hold a PhD (or have equivalent research experience) in an area such as agricultural science or a social science relevant to the delivery of impact and innovation from agricultural R&D. To be successful, you will use your insights to identify and influence key stakeholders and increase the likelihood of significant impact from your research.
