As a CSIRO science leader you will be responsible to establish a cutting-edge research program on high-performance machine learning (ML) algorithms for networks of tiny distributed sensors. Collaborating within the wider CSIRO, you will build world-class edge ML solutions that transform data collection across conservation, agriculture and other industries from cloud-based offline analysis towards actionable information in a scalable and timely manner.
Your technical background will enable you to tackle data challenges in intelligent and autonomous embedded sensing systems, including low-power operation on a dynamic energy budget, in-situ algorithms for information processing, data analysis, and distributed machine learning under highly bandwidth-constrained communications. Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to productisation and deployment of the intelligent IoT systems in the field and should be well versed in defining scientific workflows for spatial and time series sensor data and deploying production ML pipelines.
