This position will be the primary advisor to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for leading and managing the City Performance functions and in doing so, transforming the City of Darwin into a high performing capital city valued by its community.

The General Manager City Performance will provide high level leadership and direction for Council's corporate services function, including the provision of strategic advice on contemporary financial, human resource, information and communications technology, corporate governance and audit matters that support Council's strategic corporate objectives.

The successful candidate will be a transformational leader committed to unleashing the passion, curiosity and imagination of staff through courage and grit. The General Manager City Performance will promote a culture that is constructive, innovative and full of continuous improvement. Their leadership will ensure that the organisation remains at the forefront of the local government sector.

The package on offer includes generous leave provisions - six weeks annual leave, three weeks personal leave plus flexible working conditions. An executive contract of up to five years may be offered. Relocation assistance may be offered to the right candidate.
