About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager Operations and Capital, you will be responsible for leading the team that delivers the majority of Council’s capital works program (totalling approximately $60m in 2021/22).

As the manager, you will also drive the improvement, integration, collaboration, and the culture of the department.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking leader with exceptional strategic, financial management, project management and people motivational skills, gained in the public, not for profit or private sectors. You will be politically astute, decisive, responsive and innovative, with the capacity to drive positive organisational change.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven capital works leader with an ability to lead across an organisation in an innovative and future focused manner
  • A strong community focus and ability to engage effectively with people to build sustainable relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Exemplary financial and strategic management skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in the disciplines of engineering, project management or equivalent are expected
