We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader to join our Governance and Performance team. This is an exciting opportunity to get directly involved in supporting the work of Darebin City Council in delivering on its vision of ‘a greener, bolder, more connected city’.

The successful applicant will have experience in leading high-performing teams that deliver a range of governance, statutory and venue services within a dynamic environment. You will have a strong understanding of the local government sector and an ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organisation, including Councillors and senior management.

You will be customer-focused, have strong interpersonal skills and employ a professional and flexible approach to managing issues and challenges.

You will be joining a newly formed leadership group within the Governance and Performance Department that is dedicated to delivering services that enable and drive organisational success.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake some after-hours work, to support Council and committee meetings. Details relating to the essential attributes of the position are outlined in the position description available online.
