The role of the Manager Transport and Public Places will see you take responsibility for the strategic management and leadership of significant transport, traffic and public space planning and projects within Darebin. Keys to success in this role will be your ability to conceptualise, plan, develop and implement integrated transport and public place outcomes for the City, advocate to key stakeholders, and the successful engagement and consultation with the Darebin community. This is a highly visible role with broad ranging organisational influence and community focussed outcomes.

The role requires excellent leadership, management, communication and negotiation skills, high level budget, project management, and community engagement and consultation skills. Your ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and the community will be critical to your success. To secure this role, you will hold a relevant tertiary degree, significant relevant experience, and a proven track record in the successful delivery of complex and diverse capital projects and public place planning.
