The Town of Cottesloe prides itself on having some of the most beautiful surrounds in the Perth metropolitan area.  It is situated a short 15 minute drive west of the Perth CBD and offers a village atmosphere with a seaside heritage.  Cottesloe hosts a variety of festive events and is a mix of striking modern and heritage buildings.  See www.cottesloe.wa.gov.au for more information on the Town.
 
Council seeks to appoint a CEO who will not only fulfil all of the leadership and statutory requirements of the role, but who will also embrace the many things that make Cottesloe such a special place.  Council has a strong focus on community amenity, culture, heritage, environment and inclusion.
 
The CEO of the Town of Cottesloe must be someone who is able to work effectively with Council and external stakeholders on a range of issues related to development, traffic management, parking and accessibility to the Town’s natural and built form assets. Management of local community projects is equally important.
 
Intending applicants should offer experience, skills, knowledge and qualifications consistent with the expectations of a CEO position in Local Government.  Council is encouraging of applicants who may presently be working in a regional location or who may be progressing through the management ranks of a larger City.
 
The position is to be offered on the basis of a contract of up to five years.  Council will negotiate a total remuneration package in the range of $180,000 to $220,000pa inclusive of salary, superannuation and motor vehicle.  Please telephone Geoff Blades on 9221 0744 to obtain a copy of the Position Description and Selection Criteria.
