Manager, Communications

We are looking for someone highly motivated to lead a professional communications team responsible for the delivery of high quality customer focused services that are efficient, innovative and responsive to the needs of the Council and the community.

Providing high level strategic communications and engagement advice to the Council, CEO and Executive, managing media issues, formulating strategies, policies and procedures related to public information and engagement programs that supports the positioning and direction of the organisation is a primary focus of this critical role in the City of Greater Bendigo’s leadership team.

Equally the role will be pivotal in managing strategic relationships with identified client groups and audiences to determine the best ways to engage with them in accordance with the City’s Community Engagement Framework.

The successful applicant will have inspirational leadership ability together with a strong focus on performance, developing staff and working collaboratively with others in the organisation and community. Tertiary qualifications and extensive experience with the ability to plan strategically to support the achievement of Council and organisation objectives will be fundamental in this role.
