About the Role 

As Manager of our Operations Department you will lead and manage a range of Council services including the collection of waste and recyclable materials, cleansing of public places and buildings, inspection and maintenance of road and drainage infrastructure, management of Council's Plant & Fleet, and waste management including the management of the Banyule’s Waste Recovery Centre. 

 

The successful applicant will be a highly experienced specialist who can demonstrate a proven track record of successfully implementing strategic and business plans to achieve financial, quality management, client service and best practice objectives. 

 

You will be able to demonstrate leadership experience in delivering significant safety and cultural initiatives in a complex environment. You will have a track record of managing change in a diverse workforce and a passion to deliver on Councils strong environmental goals of zero waste to landfill and zero carbon emissions from the operation by the end of the decade.  You must be capable of developing strong business relationships and be able to strategically influence stakeholders at all levels.
