At Tennis Australia (TA) we have big ambitions to deliver a great summer of tennis in 2021. It has been a challenging year due to COVID, but this challenge has given our team the opportunity to be more adaptive and more creative. We are working through a number of scenarios for the Australian Open in 2021 and to help us deliver on these plans we are looking for a dynamic leader to join our team in the role of Head of Site Delivery.

About the role

Reporting into the Director of AO Operations, in this role you will lead and support the AO Site Delivery team, with the overall responsibility and accountability for the successful delivery of all facility and infrastructure requirements for the AO.

In this role you will;

  • Support the development of the event overlay in alignment with the strategic direction of TA & AO
  • Project manage the delivery of the AO build, temporary infrastructure & facilities
  • Manage logistic requirements and warehouse facilities
  • Collaborate across the business and drive delivery of operational outcomes
  • Lead and develop a high performing team
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with internal teams & external partners & suppliers
  • Budget management & reporting

About you

What you will bring to the role:

  • Proven experience leading teams across whole of project to successfully deliver complex projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing large complex budgets
  • Leadership that empowers & develops your team to be their best
  • Well-developed strategic thinking, analytical & financial skills with ability to make decisions
  • Demonstrated relationship building, stakeholder management and communication skill
  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline is desirable
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience, including significant experience in Project/ Delivery Management
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
