About the opportunity 

This position presents an interesting and exciting opportunity to work with the Associate Dean Research and Faculty General Manager to design and implement the Business School research strategy and build research capacity. In addition, you'll proactively respond to policy initiatives at University and Government level and contribute to the business development work undertaken by the School’s Research Unit.

Other important aspects are providing general management of all operational matters in the Research Unit and leading the unit’s team of professional staff.

About you

  • experience in a University research environment, including expertise in ethics submissions and grant applications
  • demonstrated experience designing and implementing research strategy and building research capacity
  • leadership experience in the supervision, training, mentoring and performance management of staff
  • excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills
  • excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes.
