We are seeking an Early Career Development Fellow at Lecturer level for the discipline of Exercise and Sport Science. The successful applicant will be on track to develop an outstanding teaching and research career in this discipline. Applications are particularly sought from candidates working in the sub-disciplines of either Sport/ Exercise Psychology or Biomechanics of Sport and Exercise; however, exceptional applicants from across the broad field of Exercise and Sport Science are invited to apply.
This is a teaching and research role and you will have responsibility for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level; course coordination and administration; student assessment; and contributing to curriculum development. You will have the opportunity to develop an independent research program as well as contributing to existing research projects within the faculty and the wider university. You will also be expected to be involved with higher degree research student supervision.
The University of Sydney has developed Early Career Development Fellowships with the objective of creating a pathway to academic careers for casual staff. The position will be appointed for an initial fixed term period of five years and, on successful completion of this confirmation period, ECDFs will be offered Continuing Employment in a standard teaching and research role.
