The School of Psychology currently offers a Master of Clinical Psychology (MCP) and Master of Clinical Psychology/PhD, which are outstanding accredited postgraduate programs with an ongoing number of approximately 60 students enrolled at varying stages. The Clinic Director's main contribution is within this teaching program through the management of the Psychology Clinic which strives to provide best practice delivery of mental health services to the local community.

The Psychology Clinic at the University of Sydney offers a broad range of clinical psychology services to the general community at low cost. As a University teaching and research Clinic, treatments and psychometric assessments reflect the latest developments in clinical practice and the highest standards of care.

The Clinical Psychology Unit and its Clinic operates from a dedicated space within the Brain and Mind Centre, enabling partnerships with child, youth and older adult mental health services within the Centre, and facilitating inter-professional training and research opportunities.

Position duties include:

  • Psychology Clinic management
  • providing strategic support
  • clinical supervision and clinical skills training
  • providing effective leadership, management and support to the Clinic team

Position requirements include:

  • accredited postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology
  • extensive post-graduate experience in directly providing clinical psychology supervision
  • full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency

Remuneration package: $143,872 p.a. (which includes a base salary $121,574 p.a., leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation).

This position is subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees. Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment for new appointees.
