Head of Advancement 

Are you inspired by providing life-changing opportunities for young people and enabling pioneering educational programmes? The Head of Advancement role at Geelong Grammar School is responsible for the School’s fundraising success, which supports a comprehensive scholarship programme and drives progressive educational initiatives, including the School’s world-leading Positive Education programme. This is a senior role, responsible for leading and growing the School’s Advancement team, and developing a cohesive philanthropic strategy to support the School’s long-term strategic objectives. Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement, the Head of Advancement will provide advice on best practice fundraising, foster strong relationships, further ongoing stewardship of donors and report on all aspects of the School’s philanthropic activities.  

Location is flexible; either at our main campus at Corio in Geelong or at our Toorak Campus in Melbourne.

The successful candidate must have significant experience in a similar leadership role and demonstrated success in building philanthropic capacity. Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, a collaborative approach, experience building a positive team culture, experience leading and successfully implementing strategic projects and relevant tertiary qualifications are also essential.
